Michael Doorley grew up in the small, one street town of Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary during the 50s and 60s. He now lives in Bray, Co. Wicklow which he has called home for the last 38 years, with his wife Mary Crosbie. They have four children and one grandchild. When he is not working or writing, he is playing guitar or painting – oils mainly. His book Stella Days will be published by Book Republic early next year.
